Bennington’s intramural program sponsors activities such as volleyball, flag football, dodgeball, ice skating, laser tag, and
Ultimate Frisbee. Games are co-ed and open to athletes of all skill levels. In addition, several club teams compete with other colleges in the area:
- Soccer: During the fall months, Bennington’s co-ed soccer team plays against colleges from Vermont and Massachusetts (though the College does not participate in any formal intercollegiate leagues). All levels are welcome and encouraged to join the team.
- Basketball: Bennington students can join a twice-weekly pick-up basketball team at an indoor court in North Bennington. The games are co-ed, and all skill levels are welcome. The basketball team also occasionally travels to other colleges in Vermont and Massachusetts for intercollegiate games.
- Fencing: The Bennington Fencing Club is a student-led group open to students of all skill levels. The club introduces interested students to the sport and offers training to improve fencing skills. The Bennington Fencing Club is a participant in the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference (NEIFC).
