Food Service

  • Dining Hall: The Dining Hall will serve during regular meal times through dinner on Saturday, December 13 (dinner is available to students not required to be off campus by 4:00 pm). On the morning of Sunday, December 14, continental breakfast/brunch will be available in the Student Center from 9:00 am-noon.
  • Snack Bar: The Student Center Cafe and Convenience Store will be open regular term hours during the last week of term and will close at midnight on Friday, December 12.

Recreational Spaces

  • Meyer Recreation Barn: Closes for the term on Thursday, December 11 at 10:00 pm, and will reopen for FWT on Monday, January 5. All sports and recreation equipment checked out for student use must be returned by Wednesday, December 3. Students will be billed for any lost or damaged equipment after this point, and equipment not returned by the deadline will be considered lost.
  • DownCafé: Closes for the winter break starting on Saturday, December 13, at midnight.

Academic Services

  • Crossett Library:
    • Friday, November 28: Last day to request ILL books and films
    • Friday, December 5: Last day to request Williams College forms
    • Monday, December 8: Williams College and ILL items are due
    • Tuesday, December 9: Last day to order articles from ILLiad
    • Thursday, December 11: Closing at 9:00 pm—please make sure that all library materials are properly returned by this date
    • Over FWT: Books may be checked out over FWT
  • Jennings Music Library:
    • Thursday, December 11: All borrowed materials must be returned—students wishing to check out materials over FWT must speak with Susan Reiss (x4512) to make arrangements; closing at 4:00 pm.

Health and Psychological Services

  • Health Services and Psychological Services will be open regular term hours through Friday, December 12, 5:00 pm. Students with end-of-term health needs, including prescription refills, should be sure to schedule an appointment before this date. The last day for Pap and any other laboratory tests will be Friday, November 28.
  • If you have student health insurance through CHP, please be aware that it covers you year round, wherever you are (with some restrictions based on whether you are seeing an “in-network” vs. “out-of-network” health care provider). If you need health care over the Field Work Term, you can search for a nearby “in-network” provider at:, and simply present your CHP insurance card at the time of service. Feel free to come to Health Services to pick up a policy brochure which describes the benefits and restrictions of the policy.
  • Prescription refills: As a reminder, prescription refills cannot be sent through the mail. Because Health and Psychological Services Offices are closed over FWT, all students should make sure to have their medication refills approved by their prescribing providers before the end of the term. Please be sure to have refills on prescriptions to cover you through FWT.
  • The staff of Health and Psychological Services will not be on campus or on call for emergency situations during FWT. Although staff will not be on campus, messages can be left for Health Services (802-440-4426) and for Psychological Services (802-440-4451). Messages will be checked and responded to approximately once per week.


  • With the end of the year fast approaching, please take a moment to review the information displayed on your paycheck. The College will be mailing your final check and your W2 form to the address listed on your paycheck. Please email or contact Noel Volpi in the Business Office with any changes.

Technology Services

  • Computer Center: Please be aware that Technology will be performing routine maintenance on the lab and public computers in Commons and the Library, over the FWT. All personal files must be removed from these computers by Monday, December 15. Any remaining files will be erased in the maintenance process, and any student files not removed by this date will be lost.
  • Telephone service: Telephone service will be disconnected and voicemail accounts will be deleted on Saturday, December 13. For those with phone service, please drop off your telephone to Dickinson 225 or Campus Safety after the office is closed. Be aware that if the telephone in your room is missing or damaged in any way, a fee will be assessed and your student bill will be charged.
  • VAPA SHARES: The public workspace area will be erased after the end of term. Please be sure to back up any work before then. If you have any questions, please email the Helpdesk (x4475).
