Ronald Anderson, Trumpet
Anderson has given trumpet recitals, lectured, and appeared as soloist in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and China. He was a debut member of the famed American Brass Quintet and as a concert artist has appeared on many U.S. record labels. In 1981 Anderson conducted the first performances in China of Stravinksy's work. In New York he has performed premieres of works by such composers as Varese, Stravinsky, Babbitt, and Carter. He is the recipient of an MB Rockefeller Grant and a former member of the Music Screening Committee for the Fulbright Program. Previously, he taught at Purchase, NYU and Stony Brook.
