Thomas Bogdan, Music
Bogdan has received wide critical acclaim for his work in opera, oratorio, recitals, concerts, and cabaret. He has performed in premieres of more than 50 pieces, including Ned Rorem's Missa Brevis, Lukas Foss's American Cantata, and Meredith Monk's New York Requiem. He received a Bessie Award for his performance in Monk's The Politics of Quiet. Bogdan's own cabaret pieces, L'Amour Bleu and Tell Me the Truth About Love, were performed in New York in 1994-96 and 2000, respectively. Among his many recordings are Monk's Atlas, Stravinsky's Cantata, Blitzstein's The Harpies, and the recent CD, For Your Delight. His 2002 Fulbright Award enabled him to teach and to perform in Eastern Europe. BA, Bloomfield College. He studied voice with Adele Addison. He has taught at Bennington since 1997.
