Thorsten Dennerline, Printmaking


Dennerline is a painter and printmaker who produces artist-books that include his own lithographs, etchings, and wood block prints. He uses images of the absurd and the grotesque to represent aspects of interpersonal relationships with psychological and political implications. His attraction to poetry and in the interaction between text and image has led him to engage in collaborative projects with writers, poets, and other artists. His most recent book is a collaborative project entitled Lover Loser. He has exhibited his work in Syracuse, New York City, and Kansas City in the U.S.; Valparaiso in Chile; and Copenhagen, Odense, and other cities in Denmark. He recently completed a Fulbright grant for Research and Study Abroad in Chile and a residency at McDowell Colony. BFA, University of Massachusetts; MFA, Syracuse University.
