Peggy Florin, Dance Instructor
A performer and choreographer, Florin has been active in dance for more than 30 years. Her work, including collaborations with other dancers, musicians and visual artists, has been seen in venues from the Dance Theater Workshop in New York City to Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Massachusetts. She has performed with numerous modern dance choreographers, including Phyllis Lamhut, Albert Reid, Charles Moulton, and Jean Churchill. She was a member of the Atlanta Ballet and the Manhattan Festival Ballet, both as a soloist and in the corps. Her early dance training was with Margaret Craske and Antony Tudor at the Metropolitan Opera Ballet School and Juilliard. She previously taught at Oberlin and Williams Colleges, and is currently part-time associate professor at Bard College. BS, Empire State College, SUNY; MFA, Bennington.
