Bob Glaudini, Drama
Glaudini is a playwright and director now living in New York. His play, Jack Goes Boating, starring Academy Award-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, will have its world premier in New York, March 2007, at the Public Theater. In June 2006, he directed Brett C. Leonard’s play, Bobo n Spyder, at the Krain Theater in NYC. His plays, The Identical Same Temptation and The Claiming Race were produced in New York in 2004 and 2005 respectively, at the Theater for the New City. The LAByrinth Theater Company produced Dutch Heart of Man for its inaugural play at the Public Theater in 2004. The Poison Tree, starring Anne Archer, was done in Los Angeles, CA, on the main stage of The Mark Taper Forum in 2000. Glaudini wrote for the highly regarded series NYPD Blue. He served as the moderator of the Playwrights Unit of the Actors Studio West, 2000-01. He has led several writing workshops in theaters and schools. He directed the world premiers of Mad Dog Blues, by Sam Shepard, and Sam Shepard and Patti Smith’s Cowboy Mouth in New York at the American Place Theater, starring the authors. Glaudini will be a visiting faculty member at Bennington for the fall term of 2006.
