Rebecca Godwin, Literature
Godwin has published two novels, Private Parts and Keeper of the House. Her short fiction has appeared in Paris Review, Epoch, Crescent Review, South Carolina Review, Carve magazine, and elsewhere. Among her honors are a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in literature, a McDowell Colony fellowship, and a South Carolina Fiction Project award. Critical analysis of Godwin's work has appeared in Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction. She has twice served as a screening judge for the Drue Heinz Literature Prize and has also judged the South Carolina Fiction Fellowship. BA, Coastal Carolina College; MA, Bread Loaf School of English, Middlebury College. She has taught in Bennington's MFA in Writing and July Programs and in the undergraduate program since 2003.
