Bennington magazine, May 2004: Godwin's story, "Saved," was a finalist in Carve magazine's 2003 Raymond Carver Short Story Award competition. It appeared in the on-line magazine's May issue. Godwin was a screening judge for the 2003 Drue Heinz Literature Prize and had a story, “Cast Out,” published in the winter issue of Epoch, Cornell’s literary journal.
