Karen Gover, Philosophy
A scholar of continental philosophy, Gover specializes in the areas of hermeneutics, ancient Greek philosophy, and aesthetics. She completed her PhD in November 2004 with a dissertation titled Heidegger and the Question of Tragedy, which she is expanding into a book on Heidegger and poetry. A portion of this work is forthcoming in the June 2008 volume of International Philosophical Quarterly. She has presented her work at conferences of the North American Heidegger Circle, the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy, and the International Hermeneutics Symposium.
