Jon Isherwood, Sculpture
Isherwood's work has been widely exhibited in public museums and private galleries around the U.S., Europe, and Canada. He is the recipient of a Jerome Foundation Fellowship, a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of New York at Plattsburgh. In 2004 he had a solo exhibition at the John David Gallery in NYC; other recent solo shows were at the Maiden Lane Exhibition Space in NYC; the C. Grimaldi Gallery in Baltimore; the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum in Ohio; and the Sculpture Court in Southampton, NY. In 2002 he was featured in an exhibition of 21st Century British Sculpture at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice. His work has appeared in group shows at the Omni Sculpture Park in New York, the Derby City Museum in Derby, England, the Kunsthalle in Manhein, Germany, and Usdan Gallery at Bennington College. His work has been reviewed in The New York Times, The Washington Post, ArtNews, Sculpture Magazine, Partisan Reviews, The Philadelphia Enquirer, and in England in The Sun and The Guardian.
