Jackson has performed on and off Broadway and throughout the U.S. in nearly 200 productions, including the premieres of Terrance McNally’s Love! Valour! Compassion! (Broadway), Doug Wright’s Quills (NYTW) and Interrogating the Nude (Yale Rep.), David Lindsay-Abaire’s Wonder of the World (Woolly Mammoth), Timberlake Wertenbaker’s Three Birds Alighting on a Field (MTC), and Samuel Beckett’s Stirrings Still (Center Stage). As a director, recent productions include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Take Me Out (2005 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Production) both at Studio Theatre, Washington DC; Kiss of the Spider Woman, Nickel and Dimed, Gray's Anatomy, and Parallel Lives all at Actortstheatre, Phoenix, AZ (multiple Zoni Awards and nominations); Strange Interlude at Washington Shakespeare Co. (two Helen Hayes Award nominations) and The English American (Best of Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe Festival). He has directed several productions for the University of San Diego MFA program at the Old Globe Theatre and has taught/directed at Princeton, the Stella Adler Conservatory, NYU, and California Institute of the Arts.
