Peter Jones, Second Language Education
For ten years, Jones worked overseas, first as an English language teacher, then as a teacher trainer and curriculum developer. He taught for three years at binational centers in Portugal and Egypt, and for five years at the Hellenic-American Union in Greece—where he was a U.S. Information Service-sponsored English Teaching Fellow. After a year at the University of Amsterdam studying discourse analysis, Jones returned to Greece to lead the largest English language teacher training program in Athens.
