Klaus Ladstaetter, Philosophy
Born in Austria and educated there and in the USA, Ladstaetter is interested in theoretical philosophy from a broadly analytic perspective. He specializes in the areas of philosophy of language, metaphysics, knowledge, and science; he has published articles on the correspondence theory of truth and on the minimal theory of truth. Ladstaetter has presented his work at the International Congress for Philosophy in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and at the International Wittgenstein Symposia in Kirchberg am Wechsel, Austria. MA, Karl-Franzens-University Graz (Austria) for an essay titled A Semantic Theory of Truth on Tarski's work; MA, State University of New York at Albany; PhD, expected in 2006, SUNY at Albany. Ladstaetter is a visiting faculty member at Bennington for the fall term of 2006.
