Mary Lum, Painting and Drawing
Lum has worked in a wide range of media and has had solo and group exhibitions at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, The Drawing Center (New York), The Paris Project Room (Paris), Hallwalls in Buffalo, Harvard, and the Bernard Toale Gallery in Boston, among many other places. She has made and exhibited Artist's books and been on the boards of Printed Matter, Inc., and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Her awards include a 2004-05 fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard, an NEA fellowship, an International Studio Program residency in New York, two Saltonstall Fellowships, and numerous other fellowships and residencies. She has lectured widely at museums and colleges and has taught at Alfred University and Oberlin College. BFA, University of Michigan; MFA, Rochester Institute of Technology. She joined the Bennington faculty in the fall of 2005.
