Andrew McIntyre, Mathematics
McIntyre pursues research on geometry related to quantum field theory and string theory; his work also touches on aspects of algebraic geometry and number theory. His work has been published in Geometric and Functional Analysis. A recipient of awards for teaching, he is committed to bringing a more historical, integrated approach to mathematical education, and to incorporating a wider range of mathematics into the undergraduate curriculum. He has held research positions at Ohio State University, the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques in Montréal, the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques in France, and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Germany.
