Jake Meginsky, Audio-Visual Coordinator
Meginsky, a percussionist, composer, dance accompanist, and videographer, has studied with Archie Shepp, Joe Platz, and Milford Graves, among others. He has performed in a wide variety of venues all over the northeast, including Free 103 and The Hook in Brooklyn, NY; The Flywheel in Easthampton, MA; Mystery Train Records in Amherst, MA; Qville in Queens, NY; The Bread and Puppet Theatre in Boxer, VT; Improvised and Otherwise Festival in Brooklyn, NY; and the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, VT. He frequently collaborates with Brooklyn-based percussionist John Truscinski in the Slaughterhouse Percussion Duo. Their recordings can be found on Open Mouth Records (Northampton, MA), Hells Half Halo (Seattle, WA), and Wooden Finger Records (Belgium). BA, University of Massachusetts.
