Randall Neal, Music
Neal is the founder of The World Turned Upside Down, a multimedia performing ensemble, and is also the president of Tidy Beatnik Productions, a multimedia production company. His works have been commissioned by Les Ateliers UPIC, Sage City Symphony. He has collaborated with choreographers including Meg Cottam, Sharon Milam, and Susan Sgorbati. A recent piece, Global Plantation, was commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture and premiered in Paris in 2000. From 1983-90, he was the director of music and composer-in-residence at the Vermont Governor's Institute of the Arts. He has performed and lectured at Middlebury, Williams, the American Festival of New Music, and the College Music Society Northeast. He has taught at Bennington since 1982.
