David Norman, Science Technician


Before coming to Bennington, Norman was a carpenter for 15 years, specializing in total rehabilitation of older buildings in the Bennington area. He also worked as Production Manager for a small manufacturing company, was a truck mechanic, and a gold miner in the Rockies. He was a founding member of The Southshire School in North Bennington and served on their board as well as the boards of several cooperative grocery businesses in the New York/New England area. He was a Board Member of The Albany Community Land Trust for six years and currently serves as Vice President of the Honduran Community Support Corporation. Norman plays drums and percussion in a folk/jazz band that has appeared at The Café Lena and The Clarke Art Museum as well as other local venues. He has been the Science Technician at the College since 1999.
