Potts’ current efforts are focused in mixed media and video installation. This recent body of work hinges on loosely associated landscape imagery as means of setting up suggestive narrative. The work concerns the nature of intimate relations within a tenuous placement in time. His work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions throughout the U.S. including, Lewis and Clark College Portland, OR; Santa Barbara City College, CA; and The Irvine Art Center, Irvine, CA. The SCA Project Gallery in Pomona, CA hosted his first solo exhibition in the spring of 2007. Jesse has been a resident artist at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Maine and has most recently completed a two-year artist residency (2005-07) at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Montana where he was also facilities technician. BFA, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Potts joins the Visual Arts Program at Bennington as the ceramics technician in the fall of 2007.
