Yoshiko Sato, Piano Accompanist
Sato studied piano in Tokyo, Paris, and at The Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut. She was a semi-finalist in the 1991 International Mozart Competition in Sarrbourg, France. She has given recitals in Japan, the United States, France, and Switzerland, and has appeared as soloist with the Manchester Symphony Orchestra, the Orquestra de Cambra de LEmporda in Spain, the Hartt Symphony Orchestra, and with the Sage City Symphony. She also performs frequently as a chamber musician, and has recently given recitals with Bennington colleagues Thomas Bogdan and Kaori Washiyama. Satos recording of Allen Shawns Childhood Scenes was released in 2004 on Albany Records. She has been piano accompanist at Bennington since 1999.
