Polly van der Linde, Piano
Van der Linde is the Director of the Summer Sonatina International Piano Camp, The Sonatas, and the Intermezzo Programs held in her home in Bennington, VT (www.sonatina.com). She has been a soloist with the Vermont Symphony, Sage City Symphony, and Purchase College Orchestras. She has studied piano with her parents, Rosamond and Rein van der Linde, and with Edgar Roberts, Robert Goldsand, Daniel Epstein, Ilana Vered, and, in London, Benjamin Kaplan. She has had coaching sessions in chamber music with Robert D. Levin, Bernard Greenhouse, Arnold Steinhardt, and Michael Tree. She was the recipient of many honors at Rutgers, including the Naumberg and Bergen Foundation Awards and the Michael Fardink Memorial Scholarship for Accompanying. She has participated in numerous international and national piano competitions. She is the Founder and former Director and Piano Faculty Member of the Rutgers Community Music Program in New Brunswick, NJ. She travels the U.S. giving master classes and piano lessons. BFA in Piano Performance, SUNY/Purchase; MM, Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. She joined the Bennington College Music Program in the Fall of 2007.
