Jason Zimba, Physics and Mathematics
Zimba, a mathematical physicist, has used mathematical and computational methods to shed light on the foundations of quantum mechanics; his work has appeared in the journals Foundations of Physics, American Journal of Physics, Studies in the History and Philosophy of Science, and Pacific Journal of Mathematics, as well as in a volume entitled The Modal Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. His awards include a Rhodes Scholarship and a U.S. Department of Education Fellowship. He helped found an education technology company, Grow Network/McGraw-Hill, for which he served as head of education, and he has taught at Grinnell College.
