Fall 2006: Zimba's latest scientific publication is an article on quantum theory, entitled, Anticoherent' spin states via the Majorana representation. This article was an invited contribution to a book entitled The Majorana Legacy in Theoretical Physics (Di Renzo Editore, 2006). The book is part of a celebration of the centenary of the birth of the Italian physicist Ettore Majorana.

Spring 2006: Zimba published an article on statistical mechanics entitled Cooling of an ideal gas by rapid expansion, American Journal of Physics 74(1), pp. 54-59 (2006). In 2005, he received an external grant of $13,000 to establish a new computational physics facility at Bennington.

Bennington magazine, Spring 2005: Zimba was invited to speak on two occasions at Williams College in Williamstown, MA, on mathematics, “Probability, Rationality, and Entropy,” and physics, “Go Pistons! Ideal Gases and Ultrafast Transformations.”
