Christine Tofani has taught piano students of all ages in her home state of Maine, and has enjoyed performing with community orchestras, collaborating with chamber music groups, and accompanying a wide variety of performers.
Tofani has taught for four consecutive seasons at Sonatina International Piano Camp in Bennington, Vermont. While working in New Orleans, she tutored students at KIPP Charter Schools as they prepared for auditions to the Schools of the Arts. She has participated in the Bay Chamber Fall Foliage Chamber Music Festival, the Bay Chamber Concerts Odeon Orchestra, and as a guest pianist with the Augusta Symphony. Tofani has accompanied voice and instrumental students of the Bay Chamber Concerts Music School, and performed as a Service Musician for area churches.
Several years ago, she collaborated with two friends to form Trio Parlente, developing eclectic repertoire for community performances. Tofani enjoys playing standards in area Senior Care facilities, at the local soup kitchen, and for homebound individuals. She was granted a surprise opportunity during a recent trip to Antarctica, where she collaborated with a young opera student to perform a farewell concert for the other passengers, replete with a penguin-costumed page turner. Tofani joined Bennington as a music instructor fall 2017.
