Colleen Murphy

Technical Instructor in Video and Design/Animation

Colleen Murphy is a digital artist and animator who is intrigued by solitude, thought processes, and empathy. She highly values the creation process and is continually adapting her workflow.


Biography

Murphy was born in Vermont and received her B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences from Clarkson University, and her M.F.A from Bowling Green State University. She has studied a broad range topics, including both 2D and 3D animation, game design, and installation art. After graduating, Murphy worked as an Assistant Professor of Animation at the University of Wisconsin Stout. She has also had opportunities to teach storytelling at elementary schools. Some of her most recent work has been screened at festivals in Minneapolis MN, Toronto Canada, and Bucharest Romania. Murphy was a Technical Instructor in Video and Design/Animation from Fall 2018 through Spring 2020.
