Calendar

We encourage you to experience Bennington for yourself: take a tour, sit in on a class, eat in the dining hall, talk to students and faculty, meet with an admissions counselor to talk about your interests, and ask questions about the College.

Campus tours are offered year-round, though we suggest that you visit during the academic year so that you can enjoy Bennington as our current students do.

Classes are in session March – May and September – December.
Campus tours are available at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm.
Campus tours may be followed by an Information Session, Interview, Class Visit, and/or meal in the dining hall.

Classes are not in session January – February and June – August.
Campus tours are available at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm.
Campus tours may be followed by an Information Session and/or Interview.

Campus tours are conducted by current Bennington students and include a review of Bennington's unique academic structure and a tour of academic buildings and residential life. Whenever possible, campus tours are offered on an individual basis so that prospective students and their families can speak personally with their tour guide. Campus tours last one hour.

Information Sessions are encouraged for all prospective students and their families who would like the opportunity to informally ask questions of an admissions counselor and to begin to introduce themselves to the Admissions staff. Information Sessions are available privately for prospective students and/or in a group setting with the student's family, and may last up to 30 minutes.

Interviews are currently being offered to prospective students who are interested in applying for the fall or spring of 2008. Bennington regards the interview as an invitation to a conversation rather than a required period of questioning. The Admissions staff wants to learn more about each student and their passions, to discuss their interests and ideas, and to provide the student with the opportunity to ask questions about the College.

Interviews may be conducted either before or after a student applies. They are not a required part of the application process but are encouraged for all prospective applicants. Interviews last approximately 30 minutes.

Overnights are offered Sunday through Wednesday nights during the fall and spring terms to prospective students who would like to get a firsthand sense of living on campus. Arrangements for overnights must be made two weeks prior to arrival and details will need to be arranged with the Admissions Office by submitting your request online or directly by calling 800-833-6845.
