Of Interest: February 27, 2008

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings Everyone!
Less than a month until the spring equinox. I know that many of you have snow on the ground or odd amounts of rain. Yesterday in Virginia, the temperatures were cold but we had lightening and thunder: late winter surrealism.
First there was Liam’s death and memorials, then the residency with candidates, and commemorations and recently, AWP with reunions, readings, discussions and Ed’s rush to surgery. Our community stands strong and stronger.
The “Of Interest” is part of our ongoing dialogue with each other. Please continue to email your news, announcements, updated contact information, opportunities, recommended readings, inspirational quotes, favorite lines and sentences, sightings (natural and otherwise), strategies for surviving the post-Bennington literary life, and declarations of intentions or manifestos.
When you send information, please let me know what variation of your name you would like used in print. Thanks.
Please contact me at EMCFERRON@Bennington.edu.
I look forward to hearing from you.
With warm wishes,
Elaine
The book which came out of my Bennington experience was a memoir of my life as rich kid rebel, rock star, man among women, and healing evangelist. Its title is Shiver in the Night (from one of my 70’s albums) and it finally got published by www.xlibris.com in 2007. It is available at the following website: http://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.asp?bookid=36742.
My latest news is that I was recently discovered on myspace by a young Cuban/American producer in Miami named Fernando Perdomo, who offered his services to me, and we are in the middle of recording a new album. Its working title is The Snake Charmer and we are very happy with the results so far: www.myspace.com/andyprattlovesyou and www.myspace.com/andyprattagain.
