Advanced Workshop in Recording

This course blends together ideas about sound and audio technique into the art of recording. We will have workshops in acoustic recording techniques for vocal and instrumental music as well as classes in recording and mixing multitrack sessions. Students will be encouraged to create their own recordings and to work collaboratively on group assignments. Students will do critical listening to a variety of types of recorded music and apply observations to their own projects. Students are also expected to show work throughout the term at Music Workshop.
