This class is concerned with taking a text, analyzing it, and then producing drawings, creating video and sound scores, and investigating materials to create an environment in which an action can occur. The first half of the term will involve theatrical texts with the second half of the term using a text of the student’s choice. The class is designed for students who are interested in set design and multimedia design, with an emphasis placed on combining forms. Various artists will be looked at as well as a variety of media investigated. Students will be additionally instructed in using video-editing software and CAD programs.
