Genetics—Principles and Practice
S06
Ron Krieser
What are genes? How do they work? How are they passed on? This course will provide an introduction to genes and their regulation. Among many of the topics discussed in this class included are the molecular structure of DNA and RNA, Mendelian inheritance, molecular properties of genes, and the regulation of gene expression. We will also cover recombinant DNA technology, and the study of functional genomics and proteomics in this post-genome sequence era.
