Annabel Davis-Goff
An introduction to modern British fiction, intended primarily for students whose focus is other than literature. We will read work by E.M. Forster, Graham Greene, Elizabeth Bowen, Ford Madox Ford, Kingsley Amis, James Joyce, William Trevor, and V.S. Pritchett. We will discuss these novels in the context of their time and place. There will be essay assignments and discussion on how to write about literature.
