For this class, we will combine a tour of music’s classical canon and its history, with reviews of present-day concerts in present-day styles. We’ll listen closely in small-group labs to expose universal elements. We’ll probe the essential mysteries of music’s power to charm, incite, and soothe. And we’ll talk. About music.
