OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Santa Fe-based Cannupa Hanska Luger, is the artist behind the ‘mirror shield project’ for protectors of Standing Rock, ND, where he was born. Luger creates socially conscious work telling the stories of Indigenous communities confronting “21st century imperatives, mediations and destrucVtivity.” Luger’s work is in the permanent collections of The North America Native Museum Zürich,Switzerland; The Denver Art Museum, Denver, CO; The Museum of Contemporary Native Arts Santa Fe, NM; and The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art Norman, OK.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | North Country Studio Workshops, directed by Carrie Brown ’06, will be on campus at Bennington from January 23-28, 2018. The program offers five-day intensive workshops for artists and craftspeople in clay, fiber arts, printmaking, drawing, jewelry, paper and book arts, painting, sculpture, basketry, encaustic, mixed media, and photography taught by nationally and internationally-known artists and instructors. Register by or before December 1st.
