OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Chandler Klang Smith '05 is the author of the sprawling, genre-defying novel The Sky Is Yours (Hogarth), named one of Huffington Post's "60 Books We Can't Wait to Read in 2018" and one of The Millions' "Most Anticipated Books of 2018." She holds an MFA from Columbia University, and lives in New York City, where she has worked in book publishing, as a ghost writer, tutor, and writing instructor, and for the KGB Bar literary venue.

Anaïs Duplan '14 is the author of the poetry collection Take This Stallion (Brooklyn Arts Press '14) and the chapbook Mount Carmel & The Blood of Parnassus (Monster House, 2017). Duplan holds an MFA from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop and presently teaches poetry at Columbia University in addition to working as a joint Public Programs Fellow at the Studio Museum in Harlem and the Museum of Modern Art. Duplan is also the founder of the Center for Afrofuturist Studies, a residency program for artists of color, and has had video art appear in exhibitions at Flux Factory, Daata Editions, the 13th Baltic Triennial in Lithuania, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in L.A.
