On-Campus Emergencies

If a staff member should require emergency assistance, dial Security at extension 210.

Bennington College has developed an Emergency Response Plan to provide a systematic and comprehensive response to a wide variety of emergency conditions that could occur on campus. Part of this Emergency Response Plan is a system that communicates threatening situations to the community.

An emergency alert siren has been placed on the Visual and Performing Arts Building (VAPA). This siren will sound an alarm in the event of weather or other civil emergency. At the sound of the alarm, employees should go to the nearest campus telephone and dial extension 5555, the Bennington College Emergency Information Hotline. The Hotline message will contain information and instructions regarding the emergency.
