What are we looking for?

We are looking for vibrant photos of you at work. We are interested in candid photos of you working, making, learning, thinking, meeting, greeting, connecting, trying it on, figuring it out, stretching yourself, loving it, hating it, explaining it, giving it everything you’ve got. Whether it’s at your desk, in the field, on the streets, in the studio, on the stage, behind the camera, over the microscope, underwater, or in front of the class, your photo should tell a story about your unique work exploration over FWT.

How do I enter?

Post photos on Instagram and use the tag #fieldworkterm. The Offices of Field Work Term and Communications will review the hashtag submissions and choose a winner.

A $100 campus cash card will be awarded to the best illustration of active work in the field.

How are photos judged?

The FWT and Communications staff will choose one winner who they feel best represents an authentic snapshot of FWT in action.

What are the requirements?

Any student who has completed an FWT position or Independent Study for FWT 2019 can participate. You are able to submit up to three photographs. You must be the sole owner of all photos entered and your images must not have been digitally altered other than what is necessary for developing. Submission deadline has been extended to Monday, March 11th, 2019.

How will the winner be announced?

For the week leading up to the announcement, the Bennington College Instagram account will feature a selection of the best photos submitted to the contest, culminating with the winner on Friday, March 29, 2019. The winner will also be contacted directly to claim their prize.

(Please note: All submitted photos become the property of Bennington College and can be used in the future at the College’s discretion and without requiring that the College contact you for approval.)
