“She called me up to ask if I would help her learn her lines for a professional production she was doing of a David Mamet play.”

“He told me he liked a paper I’d written on Rousseau’s Confessions, and asked me to come up with a title for his new essay for Harper’s Magazine.”

“She was determined to help me find the conviction to record and mix my voice in a way that would do justice to my songwriting.”

133 students received their diplomas from Bennington College this past Saturday, and each of them is carrying a rich cargo of stories about the faculty and classmates who inspired them, the things they did and learned here, the ways their lives were changed.

Bennington will miss the class of 2007, but their fascinating college lives are about to transform into fascinating post-college lives. Here are just a few of the hundreds of stories they have to tell.
