Expanding Abstraction
A painting by Helen Frankenthaler '49 is included in the "Expanding Abstraction" exhibition currently on view at the deCordova Scuplture Park and Museum, in Lincoln, MA, through September 17.
The exhibition celebrates contemporary women painters from New England. As one critic writes in Art Fuse, Frankenthaler's true contribution to the exhibition can be defined by the influence she had on the other artists included—and on the abstract movement itself.
