Guthrie Remembers Wright
Camille Guthrie published her remembrance of C.D. Wright in The Volta.
When C.D. was my teacher at Brown, we read all sorts of books, all sorts of poets. Her reading was eclectic, absorbent. I remember the first night she invited all the poetry students to spend the night at her house. She gave us a rousing talk encouraging us to be brave, to write large poems of significance, to present our work on the college lawn—to be risky, relevant, real. - Camille Guthrie
