The Long Road Back to a First Love
The New York Times detailed Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis’ return to acting after 13 years with his leading role in in “American Buffalo,” which is currently playing at the Dorset Theater Festival.
Guirgis and the play’s director, John Gould Rubin, first met at the Off Broadway Labyrinth Theater Company’s summer retreat at Bennington, according to drama faculty member Dina Janis, artistic director of the DTF (where alums Sam Levit ’18 and Matt Kirby ’17 serve as artistic associate apprentices).
