North Bennington Photographer Sally Apfelbaum Speaks at Bennington College

Bennington, VT--North Bennington photographer Sally Apfelbaum, whose widely exhibited and commissioned work depicts public spaces--gardens, parks, plazas, and city halls--emphasizes the way in which people interact with her featured areas. Apfelbaum will speak about her work and photography techniques on Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at 7:30 pm, in the Tishman Lecture Hall as part of the College’s ongoing Visual Arts Lecture Series.

Apfelbaum’s photographs range in size, color, and format. Some of her photographs are created from multiple exposures of views from all directions on a single, large format negative. Her work has been commissioned by the Public Art Commission of St. Louis, the Hirschl and Adler Modern Gallery in New York City, and the Rhode Island School of Design, among others.
