COVID-19 Update for Students

Spring 2024 Term

We are excited to welcome you back to campus this spring. Although COVID-19 continues to impact our lives, we look forward to having your creative energy and passion for learning on Bennington’s campus.

Mask Friendly Campus

The College is a “mask friendly” campus, and this policy will continue for the spring. Masks are welcome and encouraged for anyone who wishes to continue to wear one, but are no longer required. Please review the following information carefully.

COVID Policy Update: Vaccinations and protocol

January 2024

All Bennington faculty, staff, and students should follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID vaccinations and remain up-to-date on their boosters. However, as of August 15, 2023, the College no longer requires verification of vaccination. Bennington College reserves the right to change COVID policies at any time based on local, state and federal recommendations.

In the interest of the health and safety of our campus community, please continue to be mindful of COVID symptoms. The College recommends that community members follow the CDC guidelines for what to do if you were exposed to COVID as well as the CDC Guidelines for what to do if you are caring for someone who may be sick. As always, if you are sick, please refrain from coming to work if you are an employee. If you are a student and you test positive, we ask that you isolate yourself and contact Ali Tartaglia, who will walk you through the next steps.

The College will no longer require employees to report COVID exposures to Human Resources. The State of Vermont no longer requires the College to track and report COVID cases, which means that the College will no longer be collecting this information for the dashboard.
