OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Students of Joan Forsyth, Christopher Lewis, and Yoshiko Sato present an end-of-term piano recital. Works include a varied repertoire of classical standards, folk songs, movie themes, pop tunes, and seasonal favorites.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Matt Moran is the Director of Slavic Soul Party, an American Balkan brass and jazz band based in Brooklyn. He will talk about techniques of arranging and composing for contemporary Balkan ensembles.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Transformative Voice students will present original musical compositions and sound art based on practices of transforming the human voice via a variety of methods including: sampling, granular synthesis, spatial effects, vocoding, and more.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Making Music with Modular Soft Synths students will present original musical compositions and sound art from the term. Pieces have been created using software such as Reaktor, VCV Rack, and Madrona Labs Software.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Students of Sergei Tcherepnin's Making the Third Ear course will share work including musical compositions, visual art pieces, and science experiments.
