Admitted Student Event: Navigating the Curriculum and Course Registration

Celebrate the second night of Passover with a community seder on Tuesday, April 23, at 6pm. Led by Music faculty member Joseph Alpar with the help of Rabbi Jarah Greenfeld, our seder will be filled with spirit and song and the special foods, flavors, and traditions of the Passover festival. The seder will be hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, along with community partners, NEFESH and Congregation Beth El. Space is limited, so please RSVP by Friday, April 12 (click on the title of the event and fill out the RSVP form).

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Dr. Denis M. Provencher is Professor of French and Francophone Studies in the Department of World Languages and Cultures and Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Affairs and Partnerships in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina State University.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | As poets, we use written and spoken language to interpret the world. But what happens when we engage topics that require a different language entirely? How do we alter our manner of storytelling when words alone don’t suffice? In this workshop, we'll discuss visual poetics and storytelling as form and approach.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Poetry at Bennington welcomes Mónica de la Torre and Courtney Faye Taylor for a public reading of their poetry.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | In this workshop we will generate original material by experimenting with a range of techniques including translations from English to English, antonymic, homophonic and homographonic translations, and creative mishearing.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Join Michael Dumanis in a Q&A with visiting poets Mónica de la Torre and Courtney Faye Taylor.

New Student Event: Q&A about course registration

This community dialogue invites students, staff, faculty, and administration to discuss the question "Is Bennington an echo chamber?" along with other subjects related to free speech. A keynote speech will be given by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) program officer, Josh Haverlock.

Learn more about 6-8th term student plans across the College. Each presenter will share their plan through images in this fast-paced format. Stay for a snack on the lawn and learn more about SEPC. Open to Bennington Community only.
