Benjamin April
Benjamin April is an accompanist, choir director, composer, and music educator.
Biography
April is a lifelong musician and teacher. He received degrees from Hartwick College and The College of Saint Rose in music education, with a concentration in piano. He currently teaches middle school music classes at the Long Trail School in Dorset, VT. He also serves as the Director of Music Ministries at the Community Reformed Church of Colonie in Albany, NY, and as the accompanist of the Bennington County Choral Society, Bennington Children's Chorus, and Capital Community Voices in East Greenbush, NY. He has a wealth of experience working with youth musical theater organizations, including The Cue Theatre in Albany, NY. He also teaches private piano and voice lessons from his home in Shaftsbury, VT.
April is a visiting faculty member at Bennington for Spring 2024.
