"Raiding the Archive" is an elaboration of the aesthetic potential of the unstable body that explores what dance is, and what it can do. From anthropological evidence as well as disciplinary thought, the concept of stability is deeply entrenched in the very notion of human civilisation and yet, the body is inherently unstable – all joints of the body are rounded. The docile, stabilized body of industrial modernity is haunted by this unstable evolutionary spectre.
