Carla Klein '89
Carla Klein Moriarty ’89 is the Artistic Director of Theatre at the Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ, where she has been for the past eleven years. She previously taught at The Collegiate School in Manhattan, and has been a teaching artist at both the Williamstown Theatre Festival and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She earned her MA in Performance Studies from The Central School of Speech and Drama, London and her BA in Theatre and Design from Bennington College. In 2012 she founded the Bergen County Women’s Alliance, a collection of local artists, writers, and performers devoted to bringing awareness to issues that affect women through activist theatre. She has been a voice-over and spoken word artist, actress, director, playwright, and was featured in the independent short, Lyrical Medicine Chest. She has two teenage children and lives in Teaneck, NJ.
