Lorca Peress

Lorca Peress ’79 specializes in developing and directing multicultural and multidisciplinary theatre, dance, multimedia, and music theatre works. She is the Founder/Artistic Director of MultiStages. Her recent credits include Nathan Yungerberg's Esai's Table and Paula Cizmar's January (MultiStages Script Development Series), Theresa Rebeck's What We're Up Against (Life Force Arts, June Havoc), Maya Contreras' Let the Devil Take the Hindmost (NY Fringe), Desi Moreno-Penson's Comida de Puta, Nichole Thompson-Adams’ Black Girl You’ve Been Gentrified (Joe's Pub Public Theatre), and new works at HERE, Theater for the New City, Soho Rep, Women's Interart. She has been a faculty member at NYU Tisch Strasberg Studio, Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She is a member of the SDC, NTC, AEA, League of Professional Theatre Women (Co-President 2011-14), Creative Network for the Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA) Office of the Governor of Puerto Rico. She is a Bennington College and NTI graduate.
