Monday, Jun 12 2017 9:00 AM Monday, Jul 31 2017 5:00 PM America/New_York Harvest for Kids Team Challenge The Harvest for Kids Challenge is a community-driven initiative to raise money to expand the reach of existing food programs in our community. Bennington College

Harvest for Kids is a community effort initiated and developed through the CAPA Food Clinic to provide Bennington families living in poverty with nutritious food during the 5-week gap in August that falls between the end of formal summer meal programs and the beginning of the school year. Harvest for Kids will coordinate with these food programs to provide additional fresh and local produce, snacks, milk, and other sandwich and lunch items to families with children under 18. The foods will be “kid-appropriate”, so that children can prepare their own meals and snacks, easing the burden on busy parents

Organized through Greater Bennington Interfaith Community Services, the Bennington County Regional Commission, CAPA, and others, Harvest for Kids provides a platform for the community to come together to donate food or funds, or to volunteer for food preparation, transportation, and more. Visit Harvest for Kids 2017 for more information.

We also encourage participation in the Harvest for Kids Team Challenge; if you are interested in being a team leader or member, please join Susan Sgorbati in the CAPA Faculty Lounge on Thursday, July 6 at 1:00pm. If you cannot make this meeting, you can also visit the website for information or contact Michelle Marrocco at mmarrocco@bcrcvt.org.
